Disney+
Review Date: August 17th, 2022
Hi everyone. This is my 1st Streaming Service Review from my new Section on my Movie Blog Website called…
Other Reviews
(go to the section for more info)
Anyways, Disney+ is a great streaming service. It’s a lot better than Netflix though. Disney & Netflix were once the best of friends. But 1 day, Disney did a lot of stuff such as…
1. They Purchased 20th Century Fox.
2. Avengers: Endgame (2019) earned an insane amount of money at the Box Office.
3. They earned more than $1,000,000,000.00 in 1 year (2019).
& that resulted in Netflix removing all Disney content from their streaming service. In order to compete with Disney+, Netflix decided to bring back content from Nickelodeon such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Fairly OddParents, & etc.
It also resulted in Netflix removing lots of content, which lacks great movies. Disney+, Hulu, & HBO Max have lots of great movies than Netflix does though. But I will do reviews on those other Streaming Services later on, along with creating an Instagram for my Movie Blog as well.
Now back to the Disney+ review. Disney+ has a wonderful library of family-friendly content. They have G, PG, & PG-13 Rated movies. They also have TV-Y, TV-Y7, TV-G, TV-PG, & sometimes TV-14 Rated TV Shows as well. However, Disney+ doesn’t have any R-Rated Movies & TV-MA TV Shows, because mature content that’s owned by Disney would go straight to Hulu.
But that’s not the case anymore. So far, a couple of R-Rated Movies & a few TV-MA Rated TV Shows have arrived on Disney+, because the Streaming Service is planning to make more money in the future.
But beyond content from Disney & Pixar, Disney+ also has content from…
1. Star Wars
2. MARVEL
3. National Geographic
4. 20th Century Fox
5. Touchstone Pictures
6. Hollywood Pictures
The content on Disney+ is worth watching. The Streaming Service was my 18th Birthday Gift from my Mom. The 1st thing I watched on Disney+ was…
Steamboat Willie (1928; 1st Mickey Mouse Cartoon)
The 1st movie I watched on Disney+ was…
Lady & the Tramp (2019; Live-Action Remake)
For months, I had been trying to get my Mom to watch Disney+. But eventually, she did. The 1st thing she watched on Disney+ was…
Artemis Fowl (2020)
Artemis Fowl (2020) was the 1st Disney movie to skip theaters, & head straight to Disney+, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. But here are my Top 5 Recommendations on what to watch on Disney+, because it’s my favorite Streaming Service of all time:
5. Lady & the Tramp (2019)
This movie is a remake of the Original Animated Classic with the same name in 1955. Instead of having the remake be released in theaters, they decided to have the film go directly on Disney+ on Launch Day.
The film follows the same plot as the original. Where a Street Dog falls in love with a Sheltered Dog.
It’s almost as good as the Original. But they changed a couple of things. But despite the changes, it’s worth watching.
4. Togo (2019)
This movie is about an elderly sled dog named…
Togo
Who led the Serum Run in 1925, starting the Iditarod Race in Alaska that occurs every year in March.
It stars Willem Dafoe as Togo’s Owner. He also played The Green Goblin from Spider-Man (2002). He also did the role of He from the Controversial Horror film known as Antichrist (2009) as well.
This movie is a great movie to watch in March, because of the Iditarod Race in Alaska.
3. Artemis Fowl (2020)
Based on the 2001 novel with the title of the same name, this movie is about a young criminal mastermind, which is the title character. Who hunts down a secret society of fairies, in order to find his missing father.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this movie was the 1st Disney movie to skip theaters, & head straight towards Disney+. Despite the negative reviews, & the 95-minute runtime. It’s a good movie.
2. Soul (2020)
Soul (2020) is the 1st Pixar movie to have an African-American be the Main Character of the movie.
It’s about a Middle-School Band Teacher, who has a passion for Jazz. But after getting into an accident that separates his soul from his body. He travels to the You Seminar in order to help gain his passion, discovering on what it means to have a soul.
My Mom & I watched it together on Disney+, borrowing my Twin Brother’s laptop on February 27th, 2021. It was on a Saturday.
It’s a super-great & unique Pixar movie, & It’s worth watching.
1. The Mandalorian (2019-????)
The Mandalorian (2019-????) is the 1st Live-Action Star Wars TV Show. It takes place 5 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) & 6 years before the birth of Rey; the Main Protagonist of the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy.
It’s a Space Western, within the Star Wars Universe, about the adventures of a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, during the era of the New Republic, & far beyond the authority of the New Republic. (Featuring Baby Yoda!)
2 Seasons in, & It’s still a well-done show. They even made a Breakfast Cereal, along with a Spin-Off Series as well. I’m looking forward to seeing Season 3 when it comes out soon. This show is worth watching.
Overall, Disney+ is an awesome Streaming Service, & It’s my favorite Streaming Service of all time. It’s the perfect gift of families & friends galore! Even a Disney fan would definitely own this Streaming Service.
